From the founder Pastor Scott Chang 來自創辦人 Scott 張牧師
After gathering nearly 6,000 people on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/churchinapark) and mobilizing them to use their local parks for evangelism, the "Church in the Park" movement was ignited in the USA around 2012, leading countless souls to Christ. Shortly after, the Lord called our family to Asia as missionaries. Although we didn’t initially understand the reason, we responded with swift obedience. What an incredible journey these past 10 years have been! For me, language was never a barrier, as I was raised in Taiwan until the age of thirteen before immigrating to the USA. My wife works at a Christian school established for missionary kids, so I remain in constant contact with missionaries from around the world.
A year after settling in Taiwan, I began to notice a significant trend: missionaries in China were increasingly unable to return to the mainland due to new policy changes. This observation inspired the idea of starting a ministry dedicated to helping missionaries quickly adapt to the local culture here, enabling them to serve more effectively while preserving their Chinese language skills. Most people in Taiwan speak Mandarin Chinese, so maintaining language proficiency is crucial, especially since many missionaries still hope to return to Mainland China one day.
Below are the introductions of several missionaries we have hosted over the years:
Thus, the "Chinese Livingstone Cultural Exchange" ministry was founded with 30 dedicated members. Over the years, the Lord has accomplished things beyond my wildest dreams. Pastor D and J, a remarkable couple whom we proudly welcomed and befriended, have become a tremendous blessing to a bilingual church in northern Taiwan. They serve as invaluable mentors to the young pastors who established the church. Pastor D disciples young people from various nations and challenges them to embrace the Great Commission with passion.
Pastor L is another extraordinary Spirit-led missionary we are privileged to have received. With a decade of mission experience in Mainland China, he is fluent in Chinese but found himself unable to return to the mainland. I was introduced to him through a mutual friend in the US. His keen understanding of the cultural differences between the mainland and the island has empowered him to effectively preach the gospel to the people in Taiwan. His ministry has led many Buddhist individuals to the Lord through his impactful encounters. He equips churches with signs and wonders, disciples people to follow the Lord, and continues to reach out to people in China via the internet. We are deeply honored to have him among us.

Putting discipleship into the hands of everyone is what the Danners are all about. They live as a family on a mission, helping people discover their true identity as children of God and empowering them to do the same with others. They work with the local church through speaking, preaching, teaching, and leading worship, while spending most of their time outside the four walls of the church building. The Lord has opened doors in various cultural spheres, allowing them to carry His Kingdom into places of influence. Clay Danner's impact on discipleship is extraordinary, with some of his disciples also training others—true multiplication. Over the years, their influence has extended to high-profile individuals. Clay serves as the chaplain for the New Taipei City Kings basketball team, which recently clinched the national championship. Beyond that, he is equipping individuals to serve as chaplains for professional basketball and baseball teams, making a profound impact across the music, art, and athletic worlds. They open their home to many whom the Lord has brought their way and love seeing how the Lord uses their daughters in building His Kingdom.
Joshua and Esther are a Taiwanese couple called to serve in the Middle East. They have undertaken two short-term mission trips there and plan to return for long-term missions by the end of 2025 to share the gospel with the Muslim community. We encourage more people of Oriental descent to consider missions in the Middle East, where they often receive a favorable reception. Historically, Caucasians have faced challenges in the region due to past events and the Crusades, which can impact their effectiveness in mission work. In contrast, people of Oriental descent are often well-received in the Middle East due to our longstanding history of seeking to help. We are very proud to mentor Joshua and Esther during their preparation period in Taiwan, and they are an integral part of the Back to Jerusalem movement.
Pastor Daniel and his family lead the ministry Continents For Christ, where they train, send, and pastor missionaries worldwide. In addition to supporting missionaries, they are deeply passionate about the power of prayer and ministering in churches and rural villages that receive little support from the Body of Christ. Daniel believes in Taiwan's destiny to ignite revival across Mainland China and back to Jerusalem. Whenever they come to Taiwan, young people are drawn to their home and meetings to pray. We are truly honored to be the organization that welcomes them.

Christian ministries received over the years:
It is not surprising that when you live in a missionary community, sooner or later, you will encounter mature and influential leaders in the body of Christ. One such leader is Pastor Scott Last of Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI), which has equipped 522,092 leaders to plant over 1.3 million churches across the globe since 1992. On average, for every leader trained, two churches will be born in time! Scott is the World Zone Leader for North Africa, the Middle East, and the “Stan” countries (think “Afghanistan” or “Pakistan”). He visits his missionary daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren yearly and has been praying to bring DCPI training through a local son of peace.
His daughter introduced us, and since 2019, we have trained over 350 leaders in Taiwan. DCPI is the first ministry organization we have received, and we have seen firsthand the incredible impact of their training. When a nation is equipped with all eight available training tracks, a church-planting movement can be expected, resulting in hundreds or even thousands of new churches.
If you wish to be part of this movement, please don't hesitate to contact us. We urgently need skilled translators to make all these trainings available in Chinese, helping to spread the gospel and foster church growth in our region.

By the end of 2019, we had the incredible opportunity to connect with the movement leaders of World 4 Jesus (www.world4jesus.com). This movement has led to more than a million souls being born again in the Philippines, quadrupled the Christian population in Ireland, and resulted in a 20% increase in the Christian population in the Bahamas. They believe that the Republic of China is the next nation poised for such a transformative revival. I visited the movement's key leaders in Chicago in January 2020 and have been actively preparing to welcome a similar revival in our country. For the latest updates on this exciting movement, please visit www.ROC4J.com.

Bible League International's Bible-Based Literacy program has significantly contributed to the growth of churches globally by providing essential literacy skills through a biblical foundation. The program equips individuals with the ability to read and understand the Bible, fostering personal spiritual growth and deeper engagement with scripture. This increased literacy empowers church members to participate more actively in church activities, including teaching, preaching, and leading worship. As a result, communities experience strengthened faith and unity. Additionally, the program's focus on practical and applicable biblical teachings helps address social issues, promoting moral and ethical development. By transforming lives and communities through literacy and the Word of God, Bible League International's program has been instrumental in expanding church memberships and nurturing vibrant, self-sustaining congregations worldwide.
Through the introduction of Sister Joanna in the USA, we became acquainted with this ministry. They train church leaders to use their Bible-Based Literacy materials, provided free of charge by the ministry, to teach basic English. When students complete the materials, they can communicate effectively with foreigners or missionaries and achieve an English proficiency equivalent to a third-grade level in the USA. Students can continue to excel in English by using their Bible study materials and downloading the Easy-to-Read version of the Bible. It is an excellent tool for local evangelism.
So far, we have trained over 100 Chinese brothers and sisters, and several churches have already incorporated this program into their community outreach efforts.
I am writing all these things not to impress you but to impress upon you that a simple act of obedience to the Lord can accomplish much more than you can imagine. Ten years ago, we followed an impression the Lord placed upon us, and look at what He has done in and through Taiwan! In the coming years, I already sense the Lord will send us to the Philippines, Japan, China, the Middle Eastern nations, and Israel. Over the past five years, we have connected with missionaries and pastors from these nations, and it is no coincidence that the Lord has brought us together. Little did we know that these nations would be united by the Lord as one to bring the Gospel all the way back to Jerusalem!
For the past ten years, my wife has worked as a school teacher in a Christian school, and I have tutored by teaching English lessons. This has been enough to cover our living expenses as a family with two kids. Whenever we have a training event, the Lord always provides by inspiring people to donate without us even asking! Now, we can't go to these nations without your prayers and financial support, especially since some of these locations still face danger and persecution. The place we stay in the Philippines is known to have rebels who abduct and sometimes kill missionaries.
For the past ten years, I have actually felt proud of not having to raise funds for missions, but lately, the Lord has impressed upon me that I am not allowing the body of Christ to share in the rewards! As 1 Samuel 30:24 says: "The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike.” Fundraising allows the body of Christ to share in these rewards! Actually, I never believed that the work of a missionary is more noble than any other work. Whatever role we play, it is the most effective for the Kingdom when it is where the Lord wants us to be. Perhaps one day I will be the businessman who supports a dozen frontline missionaries if that is the role the King of Kings wants for me. However, I do not want fundraising to be just for my mission. The missionaries we encounter and endorse in Taiwan have God-given missions that are just as important in fulfilling the Great Commission. The hyperlink page will allow you to participate in various missions, all of which are part of the Great Commission. Click to go to the page. Or, you can use the form right below.
